Alright, So I know I haven't posted since April.... You want excuses? Other than life, there isn't one.
You see; its been this thing called "life" that has stuck me in the fast lane and either my signal is broken or the local "friendlies" seem to get a sick and twisted thrill out of keeping me in the fast lane even though I ran out of gas a long time ago and need to merge over. I am not complaining, just reflecting on the last 3 months and wondering what the hell actually happened. So if you are interested, I will make an attempt to reflect on the past happenings, and hopefully make sense of them so that in the "future" I will be able to reflect fondly upon these moments of "life" in the fast lane on an empty gas tank!
Here it goes:
April came and went like a bad burrito, but there were some times of joy and happiness... For a short time we continued in the fun of GeoCaching, Celebrated my Mom's Birthday, Enjoyed General Conference under the direction and leadership of a new Beloved Prophet, and began the new life of a Mini Van driving soccer Mom & Dad. Its the last thing on the list, you know that stigma that classifies so many of us into a group we are not quite sure we think is a good thing, you know the one Maha Rushie uses to describe a majority of the un-informed! That's right Soccer Mom's (and Dad's)
And this brings us to May!
May began with with 2 soccer games on Saturdays, soccer practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the occasional mid-week soccer games.
I will add pictures here when I get home from serving the man!
Then Cinco de Mayo happened. Before this year, the Allen clan used this day to justify eating one of those burritos I mentioned earlier! This year it took on a whole new meaning, Grandma Allen put on one heck of a spread, pinata and all! We needed to celebrate the heritage of our kiddos, and celebrate we did, we even had sombreros and plastic donkeys ( I sorta even remember maracas)... Check this out, my bride has done a much better job documenting the occasion. After the effects of the morning after Cinco de Mayo wore off, we got back to the 3 days a week dedicated to soccer! We then Celebrated Mothers Day, Angie's second in this department, it was a good day with good food! Would be right if I didn't give "props" to my own Mother here... She is awesome, Love you Mom...
Add more pictures is here... (this is to remind me, not you so stop reading)
We then celebrated Angie's 34th, I already spent the time and effort here to show (embarrass) how much I love my sweet Bride, couldn't do this without you lover!
After a quick Memorial Day Weekend (I honestly cant remember where or what I did) we celebrated Ellie's 7th Birthday! This was an awesome day for Ellie, she turned 7 scored the only goal here soccer team had scored all year, and it happened to be the only game they won all season! Unfortunately this old man was sicker than a dog eating KFC leftovers. I wasnt able to be there to cheer her on!
Wow, June is here already!
We started June off with the last games of the Spring Soccer Season, Ro is kicking some serious butt on the field and excelling at the sport (mom and dad start seeing a future for this kid in soccer) Then we celebrated Ro's big number 8, who woulda thought that we would have an 8 year old in the family so quickly? We didn't! Ro and Ellie both finished there last games on Ro's birthday, Ro even scored a birthday goal! Now that we have an 8 year old, we started getting the Baptism visits from the Primary, then came the Cub Scout visits and before we knew it we were having a special Baptism for Ro on the 14th of June for Ro. See Angies post on Ro's baptism, needless to say it was a special day for all of us.
Ok, I do have to work a little now, I will return shortly to finish my rant!
